Preview - Sonic Lost World

Originally announced on Nintendo Direct in May, Sonic Lost World is being developed, though a partnership with Nintendo, by Sega and the Sonic Team exclusively for the Nintendo Wii U and 3DS. A release date has been set for holiday 2013.

Plot

"In his latest plot to defeat Sonic and rule the world, Dr. Eggman has harnessed the power of six menacing creatures known as the Deadly Six. However, when the Deadly Six rise up against their new master, Sonic must unite with his arch nemesis Eggman and explore the mystical Lost Hex in order to take them on head-to-head. Use Sonic's amazing new moves and incredible Color Powers to speed across a variety of unique terrains, racing inside, outside and upside down in every level." - Summary from Sega

Super Mario 3D World – E3 2013 trailer

From the same company that brought you Super Mario Galaxy and Mario 3D Land comes another 3D platform for the Wii U revealed at E3:

Mario Kart 8 – E3 2013 trailer

Another huge Nintendo game announced today is the upcoming entree in the Mario Kart franchise!! Mario Kart 8 will be on it's way come next year. There's a lot of stuff from the previous game as well as some new stuff.

"As the name suggests, Mario Kart 8 will be Nintendo’s 8th installment in the highly successful Mario Kart franchise. The game will encompass many of the same features used in Mario Kart 7, including the gliders, tricks, and underwater racing. E3 Day Zero

Nintendo hasn't come up to bat yet, and already there's been SO much video gaming news that's been revealed. I've done some coverage of the XBoxOne and PS4 conferences and well, it looks like out of those 2, PS4 is coming out on top. There have been a lot of E3 articles up already at TheGeekGeneration.com and I'll be adding tons of Nintendo ones tomorrow. So definitely stay tuned here and on there for news on the upcoming games and announcements this week!

Gearing Up For E3!

Alrighty ladies and gents, I'm well aware that I forgot last month's and this month's classic game of the month and quite frankly, I'm sorry. But, I have GREAT news. E3 2013 is right around the corner and I'm going to be covering TONS of Nintendo (and possibly other) stuff over at The Geek Generation. Seriously, if you want to keep up with all that will be going on from this summer onwards, keep an eye on this blog and more importantly that site and remember that you can like OWNAGE and The Geek Generation on Facebook and @MCHammerBro and @GeekGeneration on Twitter to stay up to date.
