An Even NEWER "New Super Mario Bros."

Nintendo Direct has announced a new Nintendo 3DS game will be released in August of 2012 by the name of New Super Mario Bros. 2.

This game will be the 3rd in the New Super Mario Bros. series and an addition to the Super Mario Bros. side-scrolling world. Early screen shots show that New Super Mario Bros. 2 will visually look similar to the first two games and that the Tanooki Suit that made it's way back in Super Mario 3D Land will make a return again, abet with a more traditional function. I'll be keeping tabs on this game and hopefully putting together a full on preview.
